Hiking, skiing and trail running

I love the outdoors and I enjoy hiking, XC skiing and trail running. I started hiking as a graduate student at Dartmouth College, which was surrounded by hills and located close to the White Mountains. Skidmore College is just 15 minutes away from the start of the Adirondack Park, or the 'Dacks, so there is a lot of hiking around here!

If you are new to the area or are interested in hiking or XC skiing, I have compiled a list of great hikes, trails and ski areas you could explore! This list is updated frequently.

I am ADK-46er #13344, which means I am the 13344th (registered) hiker to have climbed all the 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks high peaks area.
My husband and I on Mt. Skylight (4th tallest peak of NY), with Mt. Marcy (tallest peak of NY) behind us on the left and Mt. Haystack (3rd tallest peak) on the right, on the day we finished our ADK 46-er journey, in July 2021.

I participated in my first (virtual) ski race, the American Birkebeiner (Feb 2021). Due to the pandemic, I ended up skiing at the Van Hoevenberg Olympic Center in Lake Placid, NY.
